Dr. Susan Eyer-Anderson was born in Los Angeles, Ca. and grew up in Tustin, Ca. She moved to Washington State in 1985, and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Since graduating, she moved back down to California, practicing veterinary medicine ever since. She has owned more than one animal hospital, worked at a number of other animal hospitals, and filled in for other veterinarians when they were absent or away from their practices. After 19 years of practicing, she still loves it. She loves working with people and their beloved pets,  keeping up on the cutting edge of medicine, while her big passion is to help curb animal overpopulation (and euthanasia of unwanted animals)  by providing high quality yet affordable spay and neuter services. She has gone into Mexico in the past and done this, and is looking forward to getting her mobile veterinary clinic on the road very soon. When not practicing, she has a lot of other interests.

She runs (jogs) between 3.5 and 5 miles a day 5 to 6 days a week. "It's a great way to help keep balanced and healthy, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. I do a lot of thinking and planning while I run. It isn't for everyone, but for some reason it agrees with me."

She and her husband Dave own a 10 acre ranch in Sage, Ca. They have a huge menagerie of interesting animals: 8 parrots, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses, and a very large, handsome Green Iguana named Ignacio, who has his own website! (Click on "Gallery" and go to "Doc's Amazing Pets" ).

She rides "The Boys", her two Percheron Paint horses, every chance she gets. (See pictures in the "Gallery" section)

She absolutely Loves to paint (acrylics). Check out the mural in the lobby of the clinic. Here are some samples of her work.

She also Lived in Nashville for 4 years, had a few songs published, and has her own music cd, which contain all songs that she both wrote and performed. Here is a sample of her music. She decided that pursuing  a career in music meant giving up her work with animals. Even while she was in Nashville, she worked full time as a veterinarian, realizing that this is where her passion is.
