We at Ark Animal Hospital see primarily dogs and cats, however we have seen the occasional hamster, chicken, guinea pig, rat, iguana, turkey, rabbit and parrot. (Dr. Anderson used to work on horses, but does not tell people that anymore :)

 We are a full service veterinary clinic,  (see our list of services), but we do a lot of dog and cat spays and neuters. Are we a "Low Cost" spay and neuter clinic? No, but we are probably a little lower than most clinics in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unbelievable costs and overhead associated with this business that people don't realize. Every animal hospital is different, what it can and cannot do or offer in regards to prices.

We try to keep the cost down for spaying and neutering because we believe so strongly in it. The shelters are just SO over crowded, it's too sad to think about. But we have to.  Google "The Red Leash", which is a paper that Dr. Anderson wrote regarding this topic.

We accept POPCO vouchers from the county to help with the cost , so please ask about that.
